Iskraemeco among over 160 signatories calling on EU and the Member States for more climate ambition
In September, the directors of 164 European companies and investors, including Iskraemeco, called on prime ministers and the European Commission to be more ambitious in setting targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The call was sent by companies to European policymakers, to avoid the worst consequences of climate change and to ensure a sustainable, competitive economic recovery. Greenhouse gas reductions will be achieved by:
- supporting the ambitions set out in the European Green Agreement,
- submitting flexible recovery plans that allow for the green investments needed to ensure climate neutrality,
- agreeing on clearly defined targets for reducing domestic greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and related targets,
- tightening legislation related to environmental objectives and speed up the adoption of new ones.
