FAIR METERs are electronic smart meters for measuring gas or electricity consumption. FAIR METERs address all major issues that the electronics industry is facing today – energy intensity, labour conditions, use of critical, conflict or toxic materials, material scarcity and e-waste. FAIR METERs revolutionise sustainability practices within the electronics industry.
We strive to implement transparency throughout our supply chains. We wish to develop higher standards in the industry, lower our exposure to risks in volatile material markets globally and create a better world, where there is little space for exploitation of resources and people. By collecting data and implementing improvements we will develop a “Transparency Tool”. The tool will be an application teaching, educating and raising awareness of these issues and the responsibilities to communities, consumers, industries and general public.
We are committed to full energy and CO2 neutral meter chain, with a minimal amount of CO2 compensation.
We are committed to entirely circular meters.
We are committed to producing without the use of conflict metals or raw materials.
We are committed to having all chain parties ensure responsible working conditions for their employees.
We are committed to making the status quo (transparency throughout value chain and fair performance) entirely clear, for each component at all times.
We are committed to keeping the fair meter energy neutral in use.
We are committed to omit hazardous substances in the meter.
We are committed to making all extra services on the meter opt-in for the end user.
